Broncos beat the Steelers

I have mentioned before that I am a Ravens fan, as such, I do not particularly care for the Steelers.  As such, when they played the Broncos yesterday, I rooted against them.  I figured it was a hopeless endeavor.  Yeah, I said "go Broncos" in this instance, but I honestly didn't expect anything to come of it as it seemed like Denver was in over its head.

As it turns out, the oft talked about "clutch gene" of Tim Tebow was able to carry the day.  They took an early lead in the first half, ending said half with the score at 20-6.

When the second half got going, things weren't looking so hot.  Denver's offense seemed to peter out and their defense was no longer a match for Roethlisburger and the Steelers offense.  It seemed like the Broncos were going to blow it, but they managed to hold on just long enough to bring the game into overtime.

I was on the edge of my seat as it seemed like the Steelers had the momentum going into the sudden death round.  Fortune smiled on Tebow, however, as the Broncos got first possession.  First play of OT, Tebow threw a long pass that was completed and resulted in a touchdown, giving the Broncos the win and knocking the Steelers out of the playoffs.

It was a tense few minutes, but the payoff was worth it and my Facebook feed exploded with posts talking about how Tebow pulled it off.  I honestly didn't think they were going to do it, but the underdogs came through in a clutch and knocked my team's biggest rival out of the running.  It really was quite glorious.
